THE FAMILY IS GROWING

School is almost back in session for the Children of the Pod and we have two new classmates: Moshe ben Amram ha-Levi and Optimus Crime (The Original C-Brown) who you will be hearing from either directly or remotely in the coming months.

ADVANTAGES:
- A moderately viewed forum to voice your own thoughts on sports/pop culture and interact with other passionate opinionated fans (modeately viewed is modeately true)
- An exponential increase in success with the ladies (no this is just a lie)

DISADVANTAGES:
- Working too hard, Caring too much, Being too invested with this blog (oh yeah, and the ladies thing)

Becoming part of the movement is easy. It can be one sentence, one paragraph, or a whole dissetation - write it, send it. childrenofthepod@gmail.com . You can write your own material, or just hate on whatever myself, Neese, or Evan have said. I will gladly respond to your messages, and often will do so in this public forum.

Again, A funny clip is included with all PSAAAAAAAA's (Cause I don't need a root canal, I need a DJ)

UPDATE - The embedded video is kinda slow so here is the link - Raaaaaaaandy - Part 1 (Funny People)

CORNUCOPIA OF CONTENT

(thanks to Moshe ben Amram ha-Levi for the idea. Sorry the picture is budget. Wait, I'm not sorry - deal with it)

- WITH LEATHER - ESPN issued Gag Order on Big Ben's Vegas Adventures.

- BRAHSOME - Randy Moss is straight cash homey.

- THE SPORTS HERNIA - FINALLY! THE REAL AND MOST IMPORTANT DUNK TAPE HAS BEEN RELEASED!

- In my fantasy league last year, Joey Flax was a fantastic pick up and helped propel me all the way to the championship game when Romo's fingers were consumed by J-Simp's vag. Will he have another stellar year? From the looks of it - Maybe.

Richt Has Commitment Issues

Coach Mark Richt left in-state dual threat recruit Devin Burns standing at the altar this weekend.
From the Ledger-Enquirer:

"The university suddenly backed out of a scholarship offer to Burns, who went to Athens, Ga., on Saturday with his family to accept.

Burns intended to meet with Georgia coach Mark Richt and commit in person with his family at his side. But when a Georgia assistant found out about the plan, Burns was notified his offer had been revoked."

Richt could not even do it himself? He sent his bridesmaid out to break the news for him?

Dell McGee, Burns' coach at Carver High School, agrees with the Children of the Pod as he proceeded to ban the University of Georgia coaching staff from the school's campus:

“I say that to show them that the incident that occurred wasn’t appreciated,” McGee said. “The biggest thing is, the University of Georgia knew, they had knowledge of Devin and his parents coming there for the weekend. For them not to communicate that they had rescinded that offer before that was not very professional.”

It should be noted that McGee is a former Auburn defensive back, so I am sure he took pleasure in getting back at Richt after being robbed last year in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry.

Mark Richt used to be one of the few SEC coaches I really enjoyed. I thought that move in the Florida game was pretty cool. But this is like going over to your gal's spot and having her roomate meet you at the door with "Yeah...she's not feeling well". It seems a lot like that or kind of like...

(If you can't tell, I am looking for a Photoshop artist. I will continue to post budget artwork until I hire one. If you are interested send an email to cnpatterson3@gmail.com)

Not That Big A Deal

Listen, I have been dunked on tons of time playing pick up basketball. And I swear 99.9 percent of the time I just shake my head, pee my pants just a drop or three, and make my way to the other end of the floor (the 00.1% is when I am sprinting like the dickens because I dropped a Chris Paul on him). TMZ just released the "last remaining copy" of this dunk.

I have decided to artistically juxtapose this "big deal" to a highlight that had me pitching a tent for 10 days straight. You tell me, what is a bigger deal? Getting dunked on in a pick up game in your own camp or sinking a 30 foot, off balance game winner with the Turkish Michael Jordan in your face?

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?

Michael Vick aka Ron Mexico aka Mr. Electricity aka Tha Dirtiest Bird aka Dog Pounder aka Pack of Newports News was released today from his home confinement. There has been much debate all over the sports world on if/when he will be reinstated and who he might play for.

Honestly. I don't care who. But I hope the when is soon because Vick is a tremendous athlete who is amazing to watch. As a Panthers fan I publicly loathed but secretly loved his every zig and zag. I can pretty much gaurentee that he will not go to a NFC South team, so now I can enjoy his greatness publicly.

Good luck Mike, The Children of the Pod are behind you.
