Richt Has Commitment Issues

Coach Mark Richt left in-state dual threat recruit Devin Burns standing at the altar this weekend.
From the Ledger-Enquirer:

"The university suddenly backed out of a scholarship offer to Burns, who went to Athens, Ga., on Saturday with his family to accept.

Burns intended to meet with Georgia coach Mark Richt and commit in person with his family at his side. But when a Georgia assistant found out about the plan, Burns was notified his offer had been revoked."

Richt could not even do it himself? He sent his bridesmaid out to break the news for him?

Dell McGee, Burns' coach at Carver High School, agrees with the Children of the Pod as he proceeded to ban the University of Georgia coaching staff from the school's campus:

“I say that to show them that the incident that occurred wasn’t appreciated,” McGee said. “The biggest thing is, the University of Georgia knew, they had knowledge of Devin and his parents coming there for the weekend. For them not to communicate that they had rescinded that offer before that was not very professional.”

It should be noted that McGee is a former Auburn defensive back, so I am sure he took pleasure in getting back at Richt after being robbed last year in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry.

Mark Richt used to be one of the few SEC coaches I really enjoyed. I thought that move in the Florida game was pretty cool. But this is like going over to your gal's spot and having her roomate meet you at the door with "Yeah...she's not feeling well". It seems a lot like that or kind of like...

(If you can't tell, I am looking for a Photoshop artist. I will continue to post budget artwork until I hire one. If you are interested send an email to cnpatterson3@gmail.com)
